July Events at Fleet Feet Treasure Valley
Things are starting to heat up this July at Fleet Feet Treasure Valley! From races and seminars to injury prevention screenings, our third Boise Run Collective, and Ironman 70.3 Boise, we have something for everyone this month. Whether you're training for your next big race, looking to stay healthy through the summer miles, or simply wanting to connect with the local running community, we would love to see you at one or all of our events.
Here’s what’s happening this month:
July 4 – Gem County 250 5K
Date & Time: Saturday, July 4 | 9:00 AM
Location: Gem Island Sports Complex, Emmett, ID
Kick off your Fourth of July with a fun and festive community race in Emmett! Choose from a flat and fast 5K or a family-friendly 1-Mile event perfect for all ages and abilities.
Bib pickup will take place July 1 through July 3 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Fleet Feet Meridian and Fleet Feet Nampa.
July 7 – Beat The Heat Seminar
Date & Time: Tuesday, July 7 | 6:00 PM
Location: Fleet Feet Meridian – 3573 E Longwing Ln, Meridian, ID 83646
Learn how to safely train through the summer heat with practical tips on hydration, recovery, heat acclimation, and smart training strategies. This FREE seminar is perfect for runners preparing for fall races or staying active during the hottest months of the year.
Shop before or after the seminar and receive a FREE Garmin water bottle with purchase while supplies last.

July 10 - Bogus Trail Series #2
Date & Time: Friday, July 10 | 6:00 PM
Location: Bogus Basin Ski Resort (Simplot Lodge Main Lot) - 2600 N Bogus Basin Road Boise, ID 83702
Packet Pickup: Thursday, July 9 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Fleet Feet Meridian in the Village.
The Bogus Trail Series continues with another evening of trail running on some of Boise’s best mountain terrain. This 3.5-mile course features climbs, flowing singletrack, and beautiful views at Bogus Basin.
Packet pickup will take place Thursday, July 9 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fleet Feet Meridian.
July 18 - Patriot Run 5K
Date & Time: Saturday, July 18| 8:00 AM
Location: Freedom Park, Star, ID
Join us for the second annual Patriot Run 5K at Freedom Park in Star, a community event benefiting the Warhawk Air Museum and supporting its mission to educate visitors about the cost of freedom while honoring those who paid its price. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or looking for a fun walk with family and friends, all ages and fitness levels are welcome. Register early for $35 ($30 for kids ages 5–14, free for children under 5) before prices increase on race day.
July 18 - Boise Run Collective #3
Date & Time: Saturday, July 18| 8:30 AM
Location: Java Hyde Park - 1612 N 13th St Boise, ID 83702
Join us and Trail Fridays for our third Boise Run Collective community run at Java Hyde Park coffee house! Come connect with local runners, enjoy great company, and grab coffee after the run. We will be hitting the trails above Camelsback Park!

July 18 - Rugged Idaho Expo
Date & Time: Saturday, July 18| 10:00 AM
Location: Indian Creek Plaza - 120 South Kimball Avenue, Caldwell, ID 83605
Join us at the Rugged Idaho Expo in downtown Caldwell where we will be hosting an informational booth along with a variety of other outdoor adventure groups. Whether it’s camping, grilling, fishing, hunting, running or hiking, you’ll find everything you need for the next time you get outside.
July 24 - Ironman 70.3 Shakeout Run
Date & Time: Friday, July 24 | 9:30 AM
Location: Julia Davis Park - 700 S. Capitol Boulevard Boise, ID 83702
Get race weekend started with Fleet Feet Treasure Valley at the Ironman Shakeout Run on Friday, July 24 at 9:30 AM! Meet us at the vendor village for an easy, fun run designed to help you loosen up, connect with fellow athletes, and get ready for race day. All paces are welcome.

July 24 - Bogus Trail Series #3

Location: Bogus Basin Ski Resort (Simplot Lodge Main Lot) - 2600 N Bogus Basin Road Boise, ID 83702
Packet Pickup: Thursday, July 23 from 4:00 PM - 6:00PM at Fleet Feet Meridian in the Village.
The final race of the Bogus Trail Series returns with a challenging 4.5-mile course featuring climbs, fast descents, and incredible mountain views. Come finish the series strong and celebrate another great summer evening on the trails.
July 31/August 1 - Boise Front Trail Festival
Date & Time: Friday, July 31 & Saturday, August 1 | 5:30 PM & 8:00 AM
Location: Bogus Basin’s Frontier Nordic Lodge - 2600 N Bogus Basin Road Boise, ID 83702
The Boise Front Trail Festival returns for another weekend of trail running, hiking, and community in the Boise Foothills. Choose from the Hill Climb, 10-Mile, or 5-Mile events while supporting Ridge to Rivers and local trail projects throughout the Treasure Valley.
Whether you are an experienced trail runner or completely new to the trails, there is an event for everyone.
July Price Increase Reminder
Several upcoming races will see price increases at the end of July. Register early to save on these exciting community events.
Top of Tamarack
Price Increase: July 12 after midnight
Race Day: September 26 at 8:00 AM
Top of Tamarack supports suicide awareness and mental health through movement, community, and connection. Participants can run, hike, or bike up Tamarack Resort’s mountain roads, with proceeds benefiting Gr8ter, Inc. Participants must register by September 1 to be guaranteed race swag.
Wild River Dash Duathlon
Price Increase: July 22 after midnight
Race Day: August 22 at 9:00 AM
The Wild River Dash is a family-friendly paddle and run event hosted by Wild Hearts Idaho. Participants can race solo or as a relay team while supporting outdoor adventure opportunities and transportation access for girls in the community.
Aaron Butler Memorial Purple Heart Run
Price Increase: July 29 after midnight
Race Day: August 15 at 9:00 AM
The Aaron Butler Memorial Purple Heart Run features a 5K, 10K, youth 5K, and the signature Unknown Distance Run at Eagle Island State Park. This meaningful event honors fallen service members while bringing the community together through fitness, remembrance, and connection.
The Great Futures 5K and 10K
Price Increase: July 31 after midnight
Race Day: August 29 at 9:00 AM
The Great Futures 5K and 10K supports the Boys and Girls Club of Canyon County with scenic courses along the Nampa Greenbelt. This community-focused event helps create positive opportunities and futures for local youth.
Heart and Sole 5K
Price Increase: July 31 after midnight
Race Day: October 10 at 9:00 AM
The Heart and Sole 5K is a community event dedicated to helping families overcome the financial barriers to adoption. Registration proceeds help support adoption-related expenses and create opportunities for children to find loving, permanent homes.
Running for the High of It 5K
Price Increase: July 31 after midnight
Race Day: October 10 at 10:00 AM
Join us for the 3rd annual Running for the High of It 5K on World Mental Health Day as we come together to support suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and community connection. Whether you run, walk, or roll, your participation helps fund mental health resources and free community events in Boise, with food, live music, and local organizations joining the celebration after the race.
Idaho Running Day
Price Increase: July 31 after midnight
Race Day: October 17 at 8:00 AM
Idaho Running Day features a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon along the Boise Greenbelt from Lucky Peak to Southeast Boise. The event celebrates Idaho’s running community with distances for runners of all experience levels.
