NUTRITION AND HYDRATION
One of the most valuable and most forgotten factors in running is proper nutrition and hydration. The average person burns roughly 100 calories per mile during running and you lose your electrolytes on top of that. To perform at your best, you need to replace both your calories and your electrolytes. Our bodies are like cars, they need both fuel and oil to run well. Consider items such as energy gels, chews, and bars as our bodies' gas and the electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium) as our oil. Check out the different types of nutrition and hydration options for before, during, and after activity.
