Fleet Feet Longmeadow is excited to offer a 10 week, virtual* 5k/10k training program for walkers and runners of all abilities! Training begins Sunday, January 10th and will prepare you for a mid-March virtual or in-person St. Patty’s Day race. (You do not have to participate in a race, though, to participate in this program).
All athletes will be able to participate in walking or running workouts throughout the week as well as strength-training, mobility, and coach-led Zoom sessions covering a wide variety of topics from nutrition to gearing up for winter weather to sports psychology. For more motivation and virtual camaraderie, we will have a private facebook page for all participants. Our coaches will be checking in with our athletes over text message, email, Facebook or Zoom at least once a week.
Registration opens December 15th. A virtual info session will be held on December 18th at 6:15pm on Instagram Live.
*should both weather and community COVID cases allow, some training days for this program may be offered in person with limited capacity.
