The No Boundaries 5k/10k Training Program
We start on Saturday, May 8th at 7 am at the shop. Bring a bottle of water and come ready to run/walk a timed mile (just so we can put you in the correct pace group.)
No Boundaries focuses on beginners, but all levels of walkers and runners are welcome. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line of your first race in just 8-12 weeks! Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!
The program "meets" twice a week: On Tuesdays at 6pm and on Saturdays at 7am.
We have three sessions a year:
- Jan 5k/10k Training begins training for the Little Rock Marathon 5k/10k
- May 5k Training begins training for the Firecracker 5k in July
- September 5k/10k training begins training for the Spa City 5k/10k
The program is divided into groups based on your goals and your pace.
BREAKDOWN OF GROUPS FOR FALL NOBO TRAINING:
Group 1 – Participants who want to walk the 5K/10K distance
Group 2 – Participants who want to run/walk the 5K/10K distance
Group 3 – Participants who want to run the 5K/10K distance
Group 4 – Participants who are already running a 5K/10K and have a specific performance goal
