Audrey Funk

There is not a moment Audrey can remember that she did not dream of becoming a runner. Starting before she even was in kindergarten Audrey remembers challenging everyone her age to race her and saying someday she was gonna be a sprinter. Starting in first grade Audrey began competitive figure skating for the next six years. During that phase Audrey loved running so much she was known to request for everyone to run extra laps during off ice training and she would, to her classmates displeasure, beg her PE coach for the whole class to do line drills. Finally in 7th grade Audrey was old enough to run cross country and track at Little Rock Christian. While she had always dreamed of sprinting Audrey quickly realised she was destined to run distance events.

While competitive running was much harder than Audrey expected she ran at Little Rock Christian 6 years and it ended up being the best and most character growing decision Audrey ever made. After that Audrey went on to live her dream and run 2 years in college at OBU but due to injury decided to step down after that. To stay involved in the running community Audrey decided to join the team at Fleet Feet Little Rock in January of 2021. Since working here she has run a half marathon and a full marathon. She hopes to eventually run the half at Disney World. When not running Audrey can be caught drawing or hanging out with her twin sister.
