Whether this is your first time exploring the trails of Lincoln or you have them memorized, it’s always nice to get a quick refresh on some of the scenic trails this city has to offer! Below are five trails we think you should explore in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Wilderness Park - Ready to take your experience off road? Wilderness Park is the place to explore! Wilderness park contains seven trailheads and over 17 miles of dirt trails cutting through forests, meadows, and creek beds. Spanning over 1400 acres, it is the largest park in Lincoln and a true trail runner’s paradise.

Pioneers Park - One of Lincoln’s oldest and most beloved parks, Pioneers Park is home to miles of multi-use trails, playfields, and playground areas. Whether you’re looking to log some trail miles or find a new road, this is the place to start!

MoPac Trail - This popular footpath was once a Missouri Pacific Railroad corridor spanning from Lincoln to Wabash, Neb. . Today, the MoPac  serves as a 26-mile trail best for running, walking, and bicycling.

Holmes Lake - Looking for a run with a view? Holmes Lake provides an approximately 2-mile gravel loop that is perfect for getting some laps in.

Billy Wolff Trail - The Billy Wolff Trail provides Lincoln residents with a connection to nature, running through a string of local parks including: Pansing Park, Roose Park, Antelope Park and Holmes Lake Park winding its way from S. 27th Street to S. 70th Street. The trail also taps into a web of other routes through the city.
