5K Fun Run - 5K Timed Run

On June 7, We Ran Together.
Global Running Day is our holiday; a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together.
What a fun day! We celebrated The Global Running Day in fantastic fashion. The Big Run 2023 had 38 runners at our 6:30 am 5K fun run and another 141 at our 7:00 pm 5K timed run. The new tradition of a morning pancake breakfast and evening hot dogs and chips was well received and turned out to be a great way to start and end the day.
A special shout-out to:
- Participants from our Brooks sponsored 5K training program. Great community of friends, training and achieving our goals together
- Ainsley's Angels - Always leading by example and showing that "Together, We Shall"
- Corryton Running Club - Great people that have shown up every year
Donation to Knox County Youth Scholarship Program
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Knox County Parks and Recreation! They strive to make Knox County a beautiful place to stay and play in the great outdoors. To maintain such a standard across the vast community they serve, they have pledged to advance positive change in access to services, population health, and enhance the overall quality of life by providing diversified recreational experiences
We are donating $1,000 to the Legacy Parks Foundation earmarked for Knox County Parks and Recreation's Youth Scholarship program. The youth scholarship program allows KCPR community partners to come together and expand opportunities for youth of all ages, abilities, and interests to participate in any recreational opportunities they offer. This includes but not limited to summer camps, athletic leagues, special events, and program activities.

Emails for all Overall and Age Groups awards have been sent. If you still have not received yours, please check the "Junk Folder" first. All winners received a Merchandise Certificate to Fleet Feet Knoxville:
