Distance Running is BACK! And no matter how fast or slow you run, we got you covered!
If this is your first half, GREAT! If this is your 314th half, EVEN BETTER! We have multiple pace groups at varying speeds to get you to the finish line. We start at around 8 minute pace and then keep the train moving all the way to 13 minute, and even then we have walkers sweeping through at the end; that's over 10 different groups! We will be running in multiple groups at different times to be as socially distant as possible. We are teaming up with one of the largest local races: St. Jude Marathon. You will receive a weekly training program that will for sure get you all the way to finish. If you would like to train for the full Blues Marathon in February, we will have a training calendar to get you there as well!
This group is beginner friendly! Doesn't matter if you've ran 10 marathons or hope to finish your first, we'd love to have you in the group! Our 13 week training program comes with coaches, pacers of varying speeds, informational clinic nights, and fun group workouts. We will have hydration on the course for all of our long runs; plus, you will also receive a Fleet Feet Running Club shirt. The program will meet on Tuesday nights at Fleet Feet in Ridgeland at 6pm and Saturday mornings at Fleet Feet in Ridgeland at 7am.
