I help coach the 5k Finish and 8k Turkey Day training programs. I began my running career at the age of 45.  Back then, my dad had recently died, and I guess I was really looking for an outlet for my sadness and suffering. What I found was a community of people who taught me good running form, the importance of listening to my body, stretching techniques and so much more. Not only that, I found my community, my people!  I had no desire to do anything more than a 5k.  However, little by little, the unbelievable support and encouragement from the training teams at Fleet Feet Jackson, I’ve run 5k’s, marathons and every distance in between.But it all started with the 5k Finish program.  Had it not been for the offerings of Fleet Feet, running any distance would have NEVER been possible. Now I have the privilege of helping others accomplish the same thing. My running journey began around 2015 when I joined Fleet Feet’s 5K program (formerly known as No Boundaries). I know firsthand how daunting it can be to start running, but trust me, the feeling of crossing that finish line is incredible! The program was so transformative for me that when I was asked to be a coach in 2017, I was thrilled. As a coach, my main goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for runners and walkers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to get back into walking or running, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.I love coaching Fleet Feet's 5K Finish and Turkey Day 8K  programs because it allows me to meet new people and provide training & support to each participant. I believe that every runner has unique strengths and needs, and I’m excited to welcome you to our running family!
