 If you're looking to run for something other than Easter eggs, there's a couple of good events planned for this weekend and there's also a special Tuesday race.
On Saturday, the Scottsboro Half Marathon starts at 8 a.m. at Goosepond Colony, 417 Ed Hembree Drive in Scottsboro. Over 400 runners will start the first-time race and it's full. Packet pickup is Friday from noon-7 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports in Huntsville, 2722 Carl T. Also on Saturday, the For Life Ministries 5K will be held at 8 a.m. starting at Blossomwood Elementary School. Contact Leah Parker at Parker.leah.marie@gmail.com for more information. Packet pickup is Friday from 10 a.m.-6 at Fleet Feet.

On Tuesday evening, the second annual Double Helix Dash 5K and 1 mile run will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. at McMillian Park at Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology. Contact Carter Wells cwells@hudsonalpha.org. Packet pickup is Saturday at Fleet Feet.

 * The Huntsville Track Club's annual Scholarship Fund Run 8K  starts at 8 a.m. at Huntsvillle Middle School, 817 Adams St., and benefits the Harold and Louise Tinsley Scholarship Fund. Contact Tab Barnett at 256-883-5124.
* The ASU 5K run/walk. Contact Kerry Demler at kerrybefit@netzero.com
* Many runners will also be making the annual trip to Lynchburg, Tenn., for the annual Oak Barrel Half Marathon. That race is also full.
Down the road, the Five Points of Life Kids Marathon is set for May 11 at Joe Davis Stadium. Registration is free for kids in grades K-8 until April 15 through www.fivepointsoflife.com.
