The Hattiesburg Half Marathon • 10k • 5k course highlights iconic local landmarks and engages Hattiesburg businesses. The 2026 course will once again wind through downtown, head toward the Avenues, and loop around the Hattiesburg Zoo. A portion of the route also tours The University of Southern Mississippi’s campus before runners blaze down the Longleaf Trace to the finish line.
Each local nonprofit benefiting from the race in 2026 will also “own” a mile by decorating it and cheering on runners as they pass through.
New Addition: Participants will run a 1-mile loop through Downtown Hattiesburg on Friday evening.
One lucky finisher — chosen by a random bib number drawing — who completes the run and is present for the winner announcement at 7:00 p.m. will earn a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
To be eligible, simply show up, run, and stay for the announcement — that’s it!
