About Our 10k Training Program
Spring running in Connecticut is a great time to get back out and enjoy running with the sun in your face! Our 10k program is great for any runner who has recently completed at least a 5k (3.1 miles) in the past 3 months, but is also appropriate for those who can already run a 10k (6.2 miles) and want to get stronger.
The training program begins on Saturday, April 4th at 8:30 am and culminates with the Iron Horse 10k on June 6th. The Saturday morning group runs will start/end at Fleet Feet Hartford.
In addition to the Saturday group practices, you are invited to attend the optional weekly Fleet Feet Run Club Fun Runs on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm (free; meet at the store).
The registration fee is $95 and includes your 10-week training plan, weekly coached group runs (plus optional runs during the week) with guidance on proper form , a team shirt, in-store discounts and a whole lot of fun and camaraderie! (Price increases $10 on April 4th.)
Coaches are available to answer any questions via e-mail, and send a weekly e-mail newsletter with the training plan and additional tips to stay healthy.
