In-Person Training Programs Start Feb 13

We are excited to bring a small sense of normalcy to our running routine through our popular 5k & 5 Mile Training Programs in a socially responsible way. Our “group” runs will be run with attention to social distancing, but the best features of the program – from caring, motivating coaches to team camaraderie, in-store discounts and a great t-shirt – are still there and this season, we are thrilld to add a nutrition coach, as well as guest coaches who will teach you how to incorporate mobility, stretching, core work and strength/functional fitness into your training to keep you healthy and strong!

All runners will be required to wear a mask before and after the run, as well as when passing other people during the run. Masks may be removed while running as long as you remain 10' apart from others or are with family/friends that you are comfortable being around unmasked.

There will be no community water so participants should bring their own hydration/fuel – and (this is a big one), the bathrooms in the store will be for emergency use only.

Before our first session, you will receive an email with an invitation to a Zoom Run Happy Hour on Thursday, February 11th to introduce you to the coaches, share lots more detail about the program and answer your questions/concerns.

START DATE: Saturday, February 13th at 8:30 am for ALL groups. Meet in the parking lot BEHIND Fleet Feet.

PROGRAM: 9-weeks

GRADUATION RACE: The program will culminate with our own intimate, but in-person race day on Sunday, April 11th. We will offer both a 5k and a 5 mile route that starts and finishes at the store (roads will not be closed). There is no extra charge to participate in this race.


No Boundaries 5k: No previous running experience needed. This program is designed to help get you from the couch to the finish line! We utilize run/walk intervals though you are welcome to do “all-run” too if you’d to challenge yourself even more. Our wonderful coaches - led by Amy, Anna, Rich & Ronda - will run alongside you throughout each Saturday group run to motivate you, answer your questions and guide you along the route. It’s a very encouraging program!

Fast 5k: This program is designed for those who can currently run 3 miles and want to get faster – whether that’s a 6:00 mile or an 11:00 mile. Led by Ashley and Mark, who both coach for Trinity College’s XC and track teams (and are super speedy themselves), the Fast 5k program is more of an independent training program with personalized training plans, weekly coach check-ins and seminars as opposed to coaches running with you - though the first three weeks will feature in-person group workouts from the store (or a field trip to the local track if they are clear of snow) so the coaches can get to know you, review drills and proper technique and help guide you through the workout so you can confidently do them on your own later.

5-Mile Program: If you’ve recently run 3 miles and would like to increase challenge yourself to a longer distance, the 5-Mile program led by Coach Ron & Mike is a great option. This program is geared towards those newer to running distances with average mile paces ranging from 9-11 minutes/mile (run/walk intervals and walk breaks are totally acceptable). Coaches will accompany you for portions of each group run to give you motivation, tips and company.

PROGRAM COST: The cost of each program is $99. Price increases to $110 on February 13th.
