Posterior Knee Pain

Posterior Knee Pain is pain located behind the knee.  Pain may result from several different overuse conditions including:

• Bakers Cyst (or popliteal cyst): a buildup of synovial fluid (fluid that lubricates the joint and reduces cartilage friction)
• Hamstring/Tendon Injury: Tear a lower Hamstring Tendon (can be the Biceps Femoris, Semi-membranosus, or Semi-tendinosus)
• Popliteal Tendinitus: Tearing or inflammation to the Popliteal Tendon in the back of the knee.

• Back of the knee compression wrap
• Hot/Cold Therapy
• Ice
• Foam Rollers
• Roller Massagers
