Patellar Tendinitis or "Jumper's Knee" is a pain or tenderness just below the patella (kneecap). The pain is caused by inflammation of the patellar tendon (think band of tissue connecting the patella to the tibia/shinbone).
Causes:
- Overuse
- repeated stress on the patellar tendon can cause tiny micro fiber tears in tendon that leads to inflammation
Treatments:
- Hot/Cold Therapy Wrap
- Ice
- Foam rollers
- Roller massagers
