Updated Tuesday, June 22, 2021:
Face Masks. Non-vaccinated participants are expected to wear a face mask when gathering before and after a run/walk. However, the increased respiratory output from breathing hard during/after a workout increases the risk for spread of COVID-19 and introduces other running risks. Mask-wearing is NOT encouraged while walking or running in our programs.
Social Distancing. All participants and Fleet Feet team members are expected to follow social distancing guidelines. In addition to maintaining at least 6 feet of physical space between runners, participants must refrain from hugs, high fives, fist bumps, etc. When necessary, participants will also be split into subgroups of no more than 10 people. Efforts will be made to ensure that there are multiple routes, staggered start times, and sufficient space so that subgroups can each run/walk independently.
Waivers. Before a group workout, all participants will be expected to sign a waiver to certify that they will not attend or participate in the program if they have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms.
Meeting Locations. Hosts for programming will offer large public meeting space and as weather permits efforts will be focused on meeting outdoors whenever possible.
Materials Provided. Fleet Feet will NOT provide water coolers, cups, nutrition products, snacks, or anything that would typically be shared between participants. The exception is hand sanitizer, which will be made available at all group workouts. Some programs and activities will offer masks or handheld water bottles as a part of the registration; please review the details of each program or event for more information.
Day-of-Certifications. An accurate list of participants for each event or training program will be on-site at all times for group activity. This list will be used if it becomes necessary to do contact tracing. As participants arrive for each workout, waiver-verification will be completed and each participant will be expected to re-certify that they have not knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days and are not experiencing any symptoms.
