How to Beat the Heat

In the Southeast summer can be a pretty humbling season for most runners and walkers alike. When the mercury soars, even an easy pace can feel tough. And a maintaining a fast pace can feel impossible. We have adjusted some of our run times to not punish ourselves too much.

It's important not to take the heat personally; when temperatures rise, your body has to work harder to move the muscles, because it's trying to keep you cool at the same time.  But don't lose all that you've gained in your fitness program by sitting out the summer.  Get tips to beat the heat here:
