Healthy Food Friday: Coconut Oil Coffee w/Cinnamon

Quick and delicious runner-inspired recipes!

As runners, it's almost a given that we drink coffee. There's nothing like coffee for a quick jolt of energy in the morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up right before a run.

This recipe for Coconut Oil Coffee takes less than 5 minutes to make, has no sugar, and feels like you made a trip to the local coffee shop. On top of all that, the combination of the caffeine in the coffee and the saturated fats found in coconut oil results in a real, lasting boost of energy. The average cup of coffee just can't compare.

  • 1 cup of prepared coffee, hot
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (You can also use cocoa powder)

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend together for about 15-20 seconds. Enjoy!!
