Welcome to Fleet Feet Folsom & Roseville's Urban Cow and Folsom Blues 13.1 Training Program! Training for and completing a half marathon is a challenging and rewarding endeavor. Participants in our program benefit from our professional coaches, experienced mentors, and a daily training schedule with goal-specific workouts.
The Urban Cow Half Marathon takes place on October 3rd, 2021. Participants in this race will enjoy a very scenic and fast course through beautiful neighborhoods and along the Sacramento River.
The Folsom Blues Half Marathon takes place on October 17th, 2021. This race gives participants great views of Nimbus Dam, Lake Natoma, and the Folsom Historic District

Coaches and special guests will educate you in person and in the weekly emails on topics such as: pre workout warm ups, mobility, nutrition/hydration, how to prepare for race day, injury prevention and more. They are also a resource and support for you along the way.
Group Training Atmosphere
Enjoy the safety, accountability, information, and motivation that come from a coached group workout environment. We also have a private group Facebook page for you to share, communicate, and get motivation from your fellow training members.
The training is designed to increase week to week so you build slowly, steadily, and consistently towards your goals. The Wednesday workouts consist of intensity such as intervals, hills, and tempo to improve your fitness. The Sunday workouts are endurance building towards the goal race distance. Your training schedule will include workouts for you to do on your own throughout the week which will help you see more progress. If you can’t make a workout, you will have the schedule to continue to follow the plan.
We will prepare you for the Urban Cow Half Marathon (October 3rd) and/or the Folsom Blues Half Marathon (October 17th).

- Although I was an active kid, I didn’t start running until I was in my early twenties. Seeing my dad complete the California International Marathon inspired me to try running too. In 2016, I completed my first 5K race and my first marathon in 2018. Needless to say, I was hooked and have been on the roads and trails ever since (often with my dogs!). Not only is the sport of running fulfilling but the community is irreplaceable. Seeing others find joy in exercise and pushing past their barriers to lead a healthier life brings so much meaning to my own. In addition to coaching with Fleet Feet, I am also a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise. See you at our next workout!

Minimum Activity Level
You should be able to walk or run 30-45 minutes, 3 times a week at the start of training.
