Nominate an Athlete for a Brooks XC Regional Wild Card

Fleet Feet Sacramento, Davis, Folsom, Roseville and Elk Grove are inviting local high school cross-country coaches to nominate standout athletes for the Brooks XC Regional Wild Card program.

We’re looking for highly competitive athletes who bring energy to the sport. Nominees may be emerging talent, returning top performers, runners to watch, positive influences in their running community or athletes with compelling personal stories. They don’t have to be the fastest runners in the region, but they should be ready to compete at a high level.

Selected athletes will receive complimentary entry to the Brooks West XC Championships on Dec. 5, 2026, at Mt. SAC.

Athletes will be selected during the week of August 24. Coaches will be notified if their athlete is selected by Friday, August 28. Fleet Feet will work with each selected athlete’s coach or cross-country program to plan a Wild Card presentation that celebrates the athlete and program. Athletes will not be notified of their Wild Card entry until the presentation (we want it to be a special moment for them).

The Wild Card covers race registration only. Travel and lodging aren’t included.
