Our Winter Warrior Program will focus on
CROSS TRAINING, "LONG RUNS" AND STRETCHING!
Are you ready to crush some goals in 2024? Do you need some accountability to keep you moving through the winter months? Are you getting tired of doing the same old running routing and looking for something fresh and exciting? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our Winter Warrior training program might be just what you are looking for! This program is focused on strength, flexibility and building base miles. We will spend 8 weeks from the beginning of December through the beginning of February learning how to build a well-rounded running routine that will have you looking forward to training for Spring races.
We will host two group workouts AND a yoga session each week. We'll meet one evening during the week and again on Saturday morning for a group workout of strength and running. Sunday mornings, we'll meet at the store for some recovery yoga to help loosen up any tight muscles and improve balance. We are putting together some dynamic workouts that should help you develop a habit of including strength and mobility work into your regular running routine. This program is focused on building a solid foundation for ALL levels of runners and walkers.
Cross Training workouts will be instructed by Certified personal Trainer and Coach, Sonja Eades. Routes and group runs will be planned by Certified Running Coach, Carrie Young and our yoga schedule rotates through a couple all star instructors, including Megan Schniederjan and Michelle Huttes.
Program starts the week of December 4th and will wrap up on February 3rd. We will have a week off between Christmas and New Years.
Group Training: We are putting together some fresh and fun new workouts and the final details will be available very soon. Saturday morning runs will offer post run visits to coffee shops.
(*This program is intended as a prep for spring races as well. We will offer half marathon and trail training programs starting in January/Spring. Build your base miles with us!)
