No matter what, one thing is certain, Cincinnati runners will run. While COVID-19 has changed our normal group training routine, it will not change our desire to change lives one run at a time! Unfortunately, running in large groups, like we've all become used to and love, won't be an option for some time. We're super excited to launch an all-inclusive, comprehensive, engaging, and fun Offical Virtual Flying Pig & Queen Bee Training Program in Partnership with Pig Works!
It's true, going into this unique training season there are many uncertainties for the future, including if there will even be a finish line to cross this fall. Don't let that discourage you! Our Virtual Training Progam is designed to be extrememly social, challenging, and flexible, putting a huge focus on the journey of training not the result or destination. Complete Challenge, Earn Rewards
All Challenges and distances will be Strava or Garmin verified if done virtually
- 5K Finish - Complete a Virtual or Physical 5K
- 4 Miler - Compete a Virtual or Physical 4 Miler
- 10K Finish - Complete a Virtual or Physical 10K
- 13.1 Finish - Complete a Virtual or Physical Half Marathon
- 26.2 Finish - Complete a Virtual or Physical Marathon
- 50K Finish - Complete a Virtual or Physical 50K
- Relay Finish - Complete the Queen Bee or Flying Pig Relay with a Team
- 3-Way or 4-Way Finish - Complete the Flying Pig 3-Way or 4-Way Challenge
- Distance Clubs - Earn One of the Following
- 250 Club - log 250 miles between June 15 and October 11
- 500 Club - log 500 miles between June 15 and October 11
- 1,000 Club - log 1,000 miles between June 15 and October 11
- Social Leader - Actively promote the group by posting your runs weekly and tagging @fleetfeetcincy and @runflyingpig
- Challenge Leader - Complete 14 of the 17 weekly challenges
When & Where:
We Officially kick off the week of June 15th and will run through Flying Pig and Queen Bee weekend, October 10th and 11th. A Virtual Training Program means you can train from wherever you are, whenever you want! You'll have the schedule to follow and plenty of accountability from us to stay motivated and engaged! We highly encourage using an activity tracking app like Strava to help keep track of your workouts. While there won't be any group workouts in the near future, it's possible we'll be able to get together later in the season, but no promises!
