Looking for motivation, structure, and a great group of people to train with this winter? Our Winter 2026 5K/10K Training Program is designed to help you run stronger, faster, and more confidently—while being part of a supportive team every step of the way.

This 7-week coached program is ideal for runners who can currently run 1.5–3 miles and want to work toward a personal record or simply feel more prepared and confident on race day. Whether you’re returning to structured training or taking the next step in your running journey, this program offers the guidance, accountability, and encouragement to help you succeed.

Our goal race is the Bidwell Classic 5K or 10K on March 7, 2026, one of Chico’s most beloved community races.

Program Kickoff & Fun Run

Saturday, January 17th
7:30 AM
Fleet Feet Chico

Join us for our kickoff meeting where you’ll meet your coaches and mentors, learn about the program, and get your questions answered. We’ll also help you make sure your gear is dialed in before training begins. Bring a friend and head out for a fun run afterward to experience the team atmosphere firsthand.

Your first official workout will take place immediately following the kickoff.

Weekly Training Schedule

Tuesdays: 6:15 PM
Saturdays: 7:30 AM
Locations vary around Chico and will be shared via email by your coaches

Who This Program Is For

Runners who can comfortably run 1.5–3 miles
Those who are injury-free at the start of the program
Runners looking for structure, accountability, and community
Ages 16 and older (participants under 18 must register with an adult)

If you have a medical condition or a current injury, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before participating.
