We are excited to announce our Summer 2020 5K/10k training program.
You still have fitness goals; you still want to run; and you still want to be part of the Fleet Feet Training community.
Join the inaugural session of Fleet Feet Virtual Training and help us launch a brand-new program designed to help all athletes keep chasing their goals.
The Training Fleet Feet Virtual Training is an 6-week training schedule with a specific start and end date, similar to Fleet Feet's in-person training programs. All virtual athletes will start the Virtual Training Program on the same day and work toward a common "race day" time frame. There will be the option to complete a virtual 5K, 10K. Once the virtual training program begins, you will receive an 6-week schedule designed for beginner (5K), intermediate (10K).
You will receive weekly assignments for running/walking, cross training, and recovery. We will be using ZOOM, Facebook, Strava and e mail to interact with you and present training info. As extra motivation, there will be awards and prizes for various activities during the season. Log each workout on the Fleet Feet Chico Running Club Strava group so your coaches can track your progress. Your coaches will give you feedback each week to keep you accountable and motivated.
Have a question for your coach before a big workout? Just send him/her an email or ask during the ZOOM sessions. The Community Once you register, you will have the option to join the Fleet Feet Virtual Training Facebook Group as well as the private Strava group to log your miles. There, you can socialize with other virtual participants, share your accomplishments, selfies and give kudos.
Fleet Feet will host regular Zoom meetings on important training topics: strength training, running gear, nutrition, fueling, and more. Join live to ask questions from the presenters or watch the videos later when it is convenient for you. Even though you are not training together in person, you will still have your Virtual Training community to keep you moving and having fun!
The Inaugural Virtual Training Program We have a great program lined up for you, but we are new to virtual training. So, stick with us as we all work the kinks out together! We are counting on you to help us improve, so we're offering a reduced price point to kick things off.
