Runners love a blank calendar. So many days to train, so many opportunities to get faster and stronger.
As 2016 rolls in, what are you going to do with the whole year ahead of you? Not sure? Fleet Feet Sports might have the answer. Check out the running programs we offer below — from free fun runs to multi-month training programs — and see what's the best fit. Hurry, some will be picking up in the first couple weeks of the new year!
Monday Fun Runs: Every Monday night — rain, shine or snow — you can join a free fun run at your nearest Fleet Feet Sports location. Gear check and changing areas are available, so you can come straight from work or school. Come out for motivation, socializing, a break from the gym rut, or safety — we go out as a group and have running lights available. All paces are welcome, from speedsters to walk-runners, so you’re sure to find a running crew. Click here to see all Fleet Feet Sports locations.
Chicks’ Night: Can’t make it Monday night? Our Chicks’ Night Runs are free women-only runs hosted all other weeknights at different stores, so you can join them all or find the one that fits best in your schedule. Best of all, log your miles and earn one-of-a-kind Fleet Feet Sports gear free! Click here to read more and see the schedule.
Live Your Resolution: If you’re thinking of joining a Fleet Feet Sports fun run, go all in with Live Your Resolution. This is our goal-oriented training program, designed to kick start a healthy lifestyle in 2016. Get motivation and advice from coaches and experts, and earn incentives and rewards when you reach your goals! The program kicks off at city and suburban locations next week. Click here to sign up!
If you’re looking for a more engaged, more focused training program, we've got those too. Even in the dead of winter, we’re working on getting race ready — and there’s still time for you to join.
Boston365: Boston365 is a Fleet Feet Sports program for those heading to the Boston Marathon, either this April or sometime hopefully in the future. Boston365 is a 15-week coached marathon training program tailored to the unique challenges of the Boston Marathon course. Or, for those still looking for a Boston Qualifier, it’s a winter training program that will get you ready for the spring marathons. Whether you’re running your 20th Boston Marathon or are still Chasing the Unicorn, this is the program for those looking for the next level of marathoning. Click here to register.
Spring Training with Chicago Endurance Sports: Chicago Endurance Sports is the in-house training program at Fleet Feet Sports. Join a CES training program and you’ll not only enjoy coached and pacer-led workouts, in-store gear check and VIP status at Fleet Feet Sports. You’ll also see how your group training can dramatically improve race performance. The first program of 2016 is Spring Training, which will get participants ready for a spring half marathon or the Soldier Field 10 Mile in May. Training begins in March, but you can sign up today! Chicago Endurance Sports hosts a dozen programs throughout the year, geared to 5Ks, marathons, triathlons and more. Click here to learn more about all CES programs.
These are just some of the programs already underway in 2016. We’ve getting plenty more on the way. Keep an eye out for the return of Old Town, the 2016 BTN Big 10K & 5K and the only race that lets you run down the Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
