"Marathon Nutrition Guide"
Summer might be the season for hot dogs, burgers and a cold beer by the grill, but that's not the type of fuel you want in your body on a long Saturday morning run. Get tips from the Chicago Endurance Sports coaches and Fleet Feet Sports staff on what food you should be eating before a run and what sports drink and nutritional supplements you should be using during the run to perform your best.
"Marathon Training Survival"
Nobody said training for a marathon was going to be easy — or painless, for that matter. The miles are adding up, and with them are the aches and pains. But there is no need to fret. Join the Chicago Endurance Sports coaches and Fleet Feet Sports staff, and local physical therapists, as they offer advice on treating those aches and pains, and demonstrate the latest tools that will work away the pain and keep you on your feet to reach your goal.
"Breaking Through the Wall"
The big day of your marathon experience is right around the corner and you’re a tense bundle of nerves with a thousand questions rattling around in your head. What should I wear on race day? What should I eat the night before? How much sleep should I be getting? Should I be concerned about that nagging soreness in my legs?
Take time out from your taper to relax and join Fleet Feet Sports and an expert panel who has “been there and done that” as they answer all those last-minute questions. Let us ease the final lingering doubts in preparation for the big day when you "break through" the marathon wall.
