The Summer Miles Challenge
THE SUMMER MILES CHALLENGE 2026
The off-season is where champions are made. This summer, Fleet Feet Canton is inviting high school cross country teams to compete in the Summer Miles Challenge — a two-month competition built around logging miles, showing up to community events, and repping your squad. Stack your points, lead your team, and earn gear from Brooks and ChicknLegs along the way.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
This challenge is open to high school cross country teams. Here's what you need to know about eligibility:
- To compete for the Overall Team Prize, your school must have at least 14 athletes participating.
- To be eligible for the Overall Male or Female Award, an individual athlete must earn a minimum of 75 points representing their school.
PRIZES
Overall Team Prize The team with the most points wins custom "Summer Miles Challenge Champion 2026" shirts designed by ChicknLegs. Each school's name will be incorporated into ChicknLegs' signature patterns and style. Final designs will be available in mid-June.
Overall Male and Female Award The top male and top female athlete from each participating team will receive Brooks Gear. Athletes must earn at least 75 points to be eligible.
HOW TO EARN POINTS
Miles Earn 1 point for every mile you run. Miles are submitted through your school's Google Form after each run and are tracked on the honor system. Coaches will have access to the linked spreadsheet and will sign off on all mileage weekly.
Events (Optional) Attending events is not required to be eligible for prizes, but they're a great way to boost your total. All event participation must be logged through your school's form.
- +10 Points — Attend a Gear Up Day in-store at Fleet Feet Canton (June 2–4). Includes a 10% discount during your visit.
- +20 Points — Register for The Big Run 10K & 5K in Canton on June 6, 2026.
- +10 Points — Volunteer at The Big Run on June 6, 2026 (athlete or parent).
- +10 Points — Attend the Brooks Demo Run (July, date TBD).
Social Media (Optional) Social media points are not required for prize eligibility.
- +1 Point — Post an update about your Summer Miles Challenge progress. Tag @fleetfeetcantongeorgia and mention Brooks in your post.
- +5 Points — Create a post about the Fleet Feet Fit ID process. Available once per athlete during the challenge.
