The first step isn?t the hardest part. The hardest part is deciding to step at all.

Winter preys on your fitness, when daylight and motivation are in short supply. Fight back by getting after it.

It doesn?t matter whether you?re up before the sun or out after it sets, whether you run 20 minutes or 20 miles—the goal is to show up. Not only does each workout boost your fitness, but you fortify your mental toughness just by being there.

So get up early or stay out late. Run fast or run slow.

Whatever you do, it starts by showing up.
