Knee injuries and arthritis are common consequences of poor running form. Join us on Oct. 26th as Dr. Ross from Ken-Ton Physical Therapy goes over some of the more common knee injuries suffered by runners, explains how arthritis develops and discusses some tenets of optimal running gait that can help to avoid these injuries. He will finish by demonstrating an exercise program to help reduce injury risk and improve performance by developing strength and power in endurance athletes.
About the Presenter: Dr. Andrew Ross, PT, DPT graduated from SUNY Buffalo in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. He earned his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2007. Throughout his career he has been working with patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries. He has spent the past 13 years working at KenTon Physical Therapy where he has gained a wealth of experience working with overuse injuries and runners.
