Details About Training:
Join Coach Haley and Coach Jade for an 8-week program of hiking and running beautiful trails in Santa Cruz County. Connect with nature and your teammates with 2 in-person workouts per week, 1 on Tuesdays for a training session that focuses on endurance, strength, and/or speed (may not always be on trails), and 1 on Sundays at a local trail.
While this program is not geared towards a training for a particular race event, Rock Runners Program will get you ready for a fall trail race and can transition you nicely into our fall marathon or half marathon training programs! Trail adventures may cover distances from 3-10 miles, or up to 2.5 hours, and mentors will lead various pace groups including hiking-only, run/hike combos, and faster trail running paces.
Program Recommendations for Best, Healthiest, and Safest Experience:
Participants should have experience navigating both single-track and technical trails and wider unpaved roads and should be comfortable with running or hiking for at least an hour at the beginning of the program. If you are interested in this program but don't necessarily meet these recommendations, please reach out to Coach Haley at haley.feuerbacher@fleetfeet.com.
Coaching
Fleet Feet's team of experienced coaches will check in with you at every training run to keep track of your progress, keep you motivated, and give you individualized coaching. Training groups will be small, so you'll have plenty of one-on-one time with your coach.
