2023 Fleet Feet Aptos Spotlight Runner
January & February
Congratulations to Dave and Cheryl Edmonds for being January & February Fleet Feet Aptos Spotlight Runner of the month. We are proud to highlight these two on their running journey. Cheryl and Dave have had such an impact on the Fleet Feet Aptos running community and have inspired many people throughout their time with Fleet Feet Aptos! They started off as road runners who have fallen in love with trail running. The vibrant energy that the both of these individuals bring to the running community will brighten up your day every time! Their running journey needs to be heard and we are excited to share their recent running challenge with you!
Back in 2020, Dave and Cheryl started a running Challenge that encouraged them to run everyday straight for 41 days. As the days went past the 41, Dave and Cheryl motivated one another to keep going. They are currently at 988 days of running at least 1 mile everyday. To celebrate their 1000th run, we want to bring the community together on February 18th to run with them on their 1000th day of running! They had days that were not easy, but no matter what they inspired one another to keep going! Dave and Cheryl made sure to run at least 1 mile every single day!
March Events:
3/2 - Pub Run With Dewitt Physical Therapy at New Bohemia Brewery (6:00 pm) - Come join us a New Bohemia Brewery for a night of running, testing your strength and socializing with the running community! You will head out for a 15 - 20 min out and back run or walk then when you return, you will test out your strength with some obstacles that Dewitt Physical Therpay will put you through. Dress warm and be sure to bring your reflective gear!
3/5 - Brunch with New Balance & The Mom Walk Collective (9:00 am) - A morning filled with running, walking, testing out shoes, coffee, mimosas and an exclusive shopping experience. We are excited to host a Brucnh with New Balance and The Mom Walk Collective. Come kick off the month of March with the Fleet Feet Aptos running community and enjoying a post workout brunch! We will have a yogurt bar, coffee and mimosas.This event is completely FREE, but we ask that you RSVP!
3/19 - Walk With a Doc (10:00 am) - Every third Sunday of the month we host a Walk With a Doc where you will have the opportunity to walk with local doctors and listen to mini clinics about health, fitness and wellness. For the month of March Marian Blum who is a licensed acupuncturist and wellness coach will be discussing, "What does it take to be successful with Habit Change?"
3/20 - Morning Stroll with The Mom Walk Collective (9:00 am) - Kick off your Monday morning with us and The Mom Walk Collective! We will make announcements and then head out for a morning walk to Seacliff beach or Nisene Marks. When you return from your walk we will have coffee, snacks and shopping!
