FIT SPECIALIST - Part Time and Full Time Sales Associate
Fleet Feet is a specialty running store catering to runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. We offer high-quality running footwear, apparel, and accessories while providing expert advice and outstanding customer service. We are currently seeking heavy part-time FIT Specialists to work in our Annapolis Harbour Center store.
RUN DOWN:
In this role you will work with an amazing team to create an unforgettable customer experience. You will interact with customers, fit them into appropriate footwear, apparel and accessories to help them achieve their fitness goals, and work with a fun group of folks who create an upbeat, positive, educational experinece for everyone who walks through the door!
KEY ESSENTIALS:
- Work with customers to ensure the proper fit of footwear, apparel and accessories by utilizing our fit process; promote in-store events and training programs.
- Be proactive in learning the details of each shoe, apparel, and accessory line in the store, as well as the products fit and function.
- Work one-on-one and as a team to ensure each customer receives a unique customer experience from the sales floor to the cash wrap.
- Build genuine relationships with customers through active listening.
- Determine the customer’s needs and offer suggestions or alternatives.
- Help to maintain organization, cleanliness, and stock storewide.
- Be an ambassador for Fleet Feet Sports at all activities, functions, and events.
- Have FUN!! Lots of FUN!
- Other duties as required and directed by Fleet Feet Annapolis to ensure the continued success of the Fleet Feet brand. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
QUALIFIERS:
Willingness to go above and beyond when needed. Flexibility and positive reaction to change. Team player. Outgoing personality. Willingness to listen, make suggestions, and find solutions for various customer fitness issues. Independent drive to learn product details, wear-test fitness equipment, and remain current on Fleet Feet Universtity educational materials. Overall understanding of what sets Fleet Feet apart, why we work so hard to maintain a top-notch reputation within the community, and why customers trust and choose Fleet Feet. Ability to show customer service in all situations. Must have open availability on weekends and/or evenings.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Run Down:
This position will focus on reaching the Greater Annapolis community and surrounding fitness communities while driving customers into the store to reach sales goals. This position will be measured on sales growth, customer count and tickets, your ability to connect to the community, and keeping the Fleet Feet brand relevant in the market. Within the scope of this position, contribute to the company’s overall position as the leader in franchising locally owned and operated running stores that build thriving running communities.

Qualifiers:
- Work to develop, maintain and implement marketing and outreach strategies to drive and meet store sales goals.
- Manage all aspects of marketing and outreach: Digital, Medical, Corporate, Community Relations, Races/Events, In-Store Marketing Support and Training Programs.
- Provide monthly and or weekly marketing calendars to team members to ensure all events are forecasted and staffed (Digital, Medical, Corporate, Community Relations, Races/Events, In-Store Marketing Support and Training Programs).
- Work in conjunction with other key staff to guarantee marketing materials are relevant, especially for Digital Marketing.
- Establish and build strong rapport with vendors and industry staff; discover and implement vendor supplied marketing opportunities.
- Ensure Fleet Feet has a positive image in the community and corporate workplaces.
- Other duties as required and directed by Fleet Feet Annapolis to ensure the continued success of the Fleet Feet brand. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
- Cover all aspects of digital marketing and outreach: Medical, Corporate, Community Relations, Races/Events, In-Store Marketing Support and Training Programs.
- Create E-Newsletter content, ensuring assets are relevant to brand initiatives, events, etc.
- Ensure Fleet Feet has a positive image on all digital platforms; including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, E-Newsletters and Website.
- Work directly with key staff to provide relevant images, stories and content for all online platforms.
- Work to develop and maintain public relation strategies to drive and meet store sales goals.
- Build relationships with local news media (print and digital) and develop/pitch stories to keep Fleet Feet relevant in the news.
- Create and issue press releases and arrange public appearances.
- Maintain relationships with local running clubs such as Annapolis, Striders, Team RWB, and Kent Island Running Group.
Candidate should be organized, creative, outgoing and self-motivated. Must be able to work directly with managers and sales team to drive growth and community involvement. Must be competent with digital marketing and various social media platforms. This is primarily a 20-30 hour per week, Mon-Fri position. On rare occasions weekends may be required. Once established in a routine, some work-from-home opportunities could be offered. Must be passionate about Fleet Feet Sports and living a healthy and active lifestyle.
