New Balance 880 v12

Arriving in April, the updated New Balance 880 remains an everyday trainer that will gobble up miles in comfort. Version 12 of the venerable trainer has a new dual layer midsole consisting of a top layer of Fresh Foam X in the forefoot and a layer of the same foam in the heel for a soft landing. The bottom layer of the forefoot now uses a dense formulation of FuelCell foam for an energetic “pop.” New Balance has nailed that great combination of soft and responsive in the updated 880. A new, thicker, blown rubber outsole provides better durability and excellent grip. The upper of the new 880 has also been completely revamped. A double jacquard mesh provides ample space and a new padded tongue and ankle collar increases the premium feel of this shoe. If the 880 has been your everyday trainer in the past, you will love the updates — these are truly improvements.
