Hoka One One Carbon X

When the Hoka One One Carbon X was initially released, many felt that this was just another carbon-plated racer designed to go fast. The Carbon X is very lightweight and fast on the flat and uphill and supremely cushioned on the downhills. A curved carbon-fiber plate is sandwiched between two unique foams: There is a layer of PROFLY X, which is very light and soft about the plate, while a layer of rubberized EVA is located under the plate. The curved carbon-plate, combined with an amplified rocker shape results in a noticeable pop during toe-off. A very light, relatively unstructured upper, is given more security around the heel through the use of targeted embroidery. Unlike other carbon-plated shoes, the Carbon X also works as an every day trainer. If you are looking for a feather-light, ultra-cushioned shoe that is extremely versatile, this could well be your shoe.
