Two years of research and design at the Asics Institute of Sports Science has paid off in the stable neutral trainer that provides maximum efficiency and comfort for a great variety of runners. The GlideRide is a well-cushioned trainer with an exaggerated propulsive rocker and an EVA propulsion plate that reduces energy loss at the ankle joint. There is a lot of running tech stuffed in the GlideRide. It is essentially the more runnable result of the “concept” Meta Ride of a few months back. Unlike many of the popular running shoes with carbon plates in the midsoles that propel runners to a faster pace, the GlideRide is comfortable at any speed. This is Asics’ future.
