The shoes are easy to put on & take off. A lot of cushion but not enough lateral stability: I feel like my left ankle is rolling over. The toe box is too wide and the fabric at the toe has creased an inch along the length of the shoe in two places so after only a few weeks, the shoes look like they are old and breaking down.

New Balance Let Me Down

I LOVE New Balance shoes. I have worn several generations of the 860. This time I had to leap from the 9 (which was WONDERFUL) to either an 11th or 12th generation. The availability and colors to choose from in Gen 11 was better for me. So, after trying on a pair in the Fleet Feet store, I ordered three (3) pair thru the Fleet Feet website. Walking around in the store for 5 minutes does NOT tell you how the shoe will perform out on a 3 mile hike. What a horrible surprise to find that the toe box of 860 Gen 11 is SO much narrower than any of the previous 860's I have purchased before. Not only are they too tight, they are wearing a blister on the SIDE of my big toe. It is not the fault of Fleet Feet because they encouraged me to buy the next size up, which I did. New Balance may have just lost a VERY loyal customer.

Foot Comfort

I purchased a pair of these shoes for my wife for Christmas 2020 and she absolutely loved them so much until I had to buy her another pair this Christmas. Luckily there are many colors to choose from so I can give her the same comfort with a different look. I also purchased the orthotic inserts which just adds to the comfort. As long as you sell this shoe I’ll keep buying them for her.

My first time at a Fleet Feet store. What a great experience!

I have new feet! Staff is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the product and they go the extra mile to make sure I am satisfied before I leave the store. Shoes are extremely comfortable. I will definitely be a customer for life!

860 women's shoes

There isn't as much of an arch support as the previous pair I purchased. Also the high rubber back of the shoe is easily broken down after several times of removing and putting the shoes on.

Love my New Balance sneakers again!

I always buy New Balance sneakers with extra support to avoid pronation. Fleet Feet put me into the correct size and innersoles for arch support. I now have four pairs of these sneakers but the bright coral are my favorite and so many people have commented on how cool they are.

Definitely a good buy - New Balance Fresh Foam 860v11

After getting a customized scan this pair of sneakers were recommended as a good option for my needs. Definitely have to agree. I went a full size up from what I've normally worn and it's been ideal. I am a big walker - at least 7-8 miles a day - so I needed durable, cushiony sneakers as others were falling apart easily and my toenails were bruised and awful. Minor issues with these which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Still get a few blisters but nothing close to what I was experiencing. I think maybe I need new socks - lol. These sneakers are great, very comfortable, and really strong for my daily walks.

Love these shoes

Have 2 pairs of New Balance Fresh Foam 860s. Work great for daily walks and hikes. I average about 6 miles a day, mostly on hilly terrain. These hold up great. Only one small complaint: the deep tread catches bits of gravel that can be hard to pry out.

Not the Most Comfortable Shoes

I bought these online because I didn't want to bother with an appointment, but I probably should have. They just aren't nearly as supportive and soft as my aesics Fleet Feet matched me with last time. They hurt when I wear them just ask walking shoes, something strange is going on with the tongue and while the shoe doesn't cut in the same way when I run it just isn't nearly as cushioned. I felt the run in my feet after just 2 miles. I can usually go around 5 before that starts to even register. These could just not be a good fit for me though, I would recommend going into a store to test shoes. It worked out a lot better for me in initial experience at fleet feet. On a high note, they are super cute!
