This shoe is a complete reboot of the On Cloudsurfer. New CloudTec® Phase midsole technology gives you active cushioning that compresses and springs you forward. It collapses in a domino-like sequence to deliver cushion and a gentle heel-to-toe transition.
On uses a midsole that consists of a Helion™ Superfoam in an entirely new construction based on computer-optimized FEA engineering. Designers then eliminated the Speedboard® present in many of their other shoes to make the Cloudsurfer lighter, give you a more cushioned feel and reduce the chance of catching stones during your run. In our On Cloudsurfer review, one runner stated, "“After the first mile, I could confidently say that the Cloudsurfer is the softest pair of On running shoes I’ve ever run in.”
Super lightweight, this shoe can be used for walking, running and speedwork. Plus, lightweight rubber pads on the outsole give you durable traction in all conditions.
The upper gives you a plush step-in feel with a breathable engineered mesh.
On continues their efforts to make their shoes more sustainable by eliminating plastic overlays, while 30% of the shoe is made from recycled materials and uses dope dye technology that saves significant water in the dying process.

The On Cloudsurfer is a complete rehaul of the On Cloudsurfer. On designers eliminated the Speedboard® and, therefore, eliminated the stiffness and firmness of the On Cloudsurfer to make it much more cushioned. New CloudTec® Phase technology collapses each of the pods in a domino sequence to give you a super smooth transition from heel to toe. The Helion™ Superfoam has a new construction to give you extra comfort throughout the run. Plus, the upper is plush and comfortable from your step-in to when you take it off. All of these changes also make it lighter weight.

Squeaky shoes
Love these shoes but they are the loudest squeakiest things I've ever worn. The noise they make when I run even overrides the obnoxious hum of the treadmill. And on the road there's not sneaking up on anyone they hear me coming from a block away

Great at first...
I really want to love these shoes! I bought one pair that are fantastic bought another pair in a different color and after a bit of time they started squeaking no matter what surface I was on. I really hope On can fix this issue.
Running on a cloud!
My knee pain is gone thanks to the recommendation from the fleet feet staff! Thank you for making running comfortable again!! These shoes are great and like a cloud!
Sadly loses stars for sound
These shoes are soooo comfortable- I wear them working out and at work during my 12.5 shifts on my feet and they are awesome. However they are so squeaky I stopped wearing because it’s so annoying and I am embarrassed. I am really disappointed I spent that much money on these.
Favorite everyday show
Bought for walking and short runs. Love the amount of cushion and how the shoe is still firm. Great balance between the two!
Great Shoes
I am a collegiate runner and I love these shoes! Already on my second pair. They hold up really good and they are really comfortable but also lightweight which I really enjoy. Good for both wide and narrow feet. I have very narrow feet and have a hard time finding shoes that actually fit and these were great. The only issue and the reason I gave only 4 stars is because they are very squeaky especially when water gets in them. I run mainly on a grass field thats always wet so they squeak. But the pros out weigtb the con for me! Hope this helped!
FINALLY ACHILLES RELIEF
Super cushion and the shape really makes it effortless to run. I have achilles issues and the soft padding around the heel really helps. I bought 3 pairs of these.
