The On Cloudmonster Hyper brings an unprecedented level of energy and cushioning to your runs.
This max-cushioned super trainer uses a layer of PEBAX-foam called a Bounceboard nestled directly underneath your forefoot, while Helion superfoam and CloudTec pods give you a bouncy, responsive and energetic run.
Details:
- Upper: A woven performance upper similar to that used in On’s race-day shoe, the Cloudboom Echo 3, gives you a lightweight and streamlined fit that’s perfect for picking up the pace.
- Midsole: On’s distinctive CloudTec pods are the first to contact the ground and respond individually to each stride for a unique ground feel. In the middle is Helion superfoam for a cushioned ride, while a layer of PEBAX-foam called a Bounceboard in the forefoot sits on top for a springy and energetic toe-off.
- Outsole: A closed-channel outsole keeps rocks and debris out while giving you the grip to run confidently.

What's new
The Cloudmonster Hyper is a new shoe in On’s lineup that builds off their best-selling Cloudmonster 2. The Cloudmonster Hyper enters the super-trainer category with a tall stack height, lighter weight and propulsive PEBAX-foam Bounceboard that gives you energetic toe-offs without the rigidity that can come with a carbon plate.
Compared to the Cloudmonster 2, “The Cloudmonster Hyper is softer and I believe it’s a better overall shoe to run in,” says one of our run-testers, Brandon. “It’s lighter, faster, and just as stable underfoot as the Monster.”
Who It's Best For
From racing to daily training, the On Cloudmonster Hyper is a great option for runners looking for some extra pep in their step and would prefer to not run in a shoe with a carbon plate.

Love!
I have the cloud surfer max and really like them . Bought these cloud monster hyper shoes and absolutely love them! Very comfortable with good support. Only complaint is the laces. They’re synthetic with rubbery details but they come loose unless tied super tight. Not a deal breaker though because the shoes are GREAT!
