What’s New
On made updates to the Cloudflyer 4 to give you more support and cushion. They re-engineered the dual-density CloudTec® elements to give you more cushioning, and designers added a new molded sock-liner and redesigned the external heel counter to increase security and stability. On tweaked the upper to provide for more comfort, breathability and durability, including adding a plusher tongue. Finally, more sustainable and recycled materials reduce the shoe’s footprint without sacrificing performance.

Stiffer than the previous version
I loved the previous version of the Cloudflyer. My only issue with it was that they were not as durable as I might have liked - the clouds themselves mean that the sole is pretty thin in places. Of course, I put around 200 miles a month on them. If you don't run that much, you won't wear through them as quickly. But the 4's are stiffer and a bit less roomy than the previous version. They are the only On's where my foot feels cramped in the toe box. So even if you have worn the brand before, I would recommend trying these out before ordering to see if they work for you.
