What’s New
New Balance rebuilt the midsole and upper to provide a better step-in feel with more comfort and cushion. The Fresh Foam X material is softer than previous versions, while a more responsive foam placed under the forefoot gives the 860 an energetic toe-off. Designers kept the medial post but reshaped it for a more natural feel. A reshaped midsole geometry and upper also help with the 860 v13’s stability and give it a lockdown fit.

Incredibly comfy! Works superb for hammered toes needing more room, great for bone spurs and bunion. Like walking on a cloud.

Unsure on scoring whether a 1 or a 5 is great, but it's an awesome shoe, and I'd buy it again and again!
New Balance changed the width
I have worn New Balance in wide width for many years. The 860 v13 in wide width was way too small. I had to order extra wide. I wish that new balance would stay consistent with its sizing. They make a comfortable, supportive shoe but the size is always a guessing game.
