An engineered mesh upper is light and airy for a barely-there feel, and New Balance’s Ultra Heel design cradles the back of the foot for a locked-in fit.
On the outsole, designers incorporated abrasion-resistant rubber in high-wear areas—just under the big toe and in the heel. Not only does the rubber give you grip right where you need it, it also adds durability to the shoe without weighing it down.

Great cushion and toe box
I have very difficult feet to fit. My feet are flat and on the wider side. These shoes are amazing. Light and comfortable with enough room for my toes and the perfect amount of cushion. I do add an insert for my feet and I agree with some reviews about the back sliding a bit, but with the right socks, I don't have an issue with blisters or discomfort. I also loop my laces at the top to tighten. Overall, a shoe that I will continue to purchase. :)
