The signature Fresh Foam X midsole foam in the 1080 v12 is New Balance’s most cushioned Fresh Foam experience for ultimate comfort. It features 3% bio-based content that is made from renewable resources to help reduce the carbon footprint. New Balance tweaked the cushioning, dropped weight and improved flexibility so you can adapt to all of the different stresses that occur during a run.

The Hypoknit upper is breathable and stretchy to accommodate many foot shapes, making it a great shoe for those individuals with bunions or who like a wider forefoot. It is designed with strategic areas of stretch and support for a more dialed-in fit. The gusseted tongue and bootie upper hugs your foot for a snug, supportive fit.

New Balance redesigned the heel shape and reverted back to a more traditional, padded heel collar, so you get a more lockdown fit. The heel does still have a bit of a flair to make it easier to put on and get out the door.
