The women's New Balance Fresh Foam 880v10 is the latest in the long line of New Balance running shoes to take on the 880 name—and it’s the best one yet.
A new bed of soft Fresh Foam gives the 880v10 a buttery ride, and a refreshed upper gives the shoe a premium feel. The design overhaul lends the 880v10 a more aggressive look without losing the dependable feel of the previous generation.
In the New Balance 880v10 review, Fleet Feet testers praised the feel of the Fresh Foam midsole, saying it’s softer and bouncier than ever before.
While making major updates to a beloved running shoe can be daunting, designers nailed the upgrade in the women's New Balance Fresh Foam 880v10.

Muy comfy!! Supports very well. Love it
I’ve been a longtime Brooks Ghost runner but didn’t like the way the version 12 felt and had tried the NB 880 v9 and thought it was ok, but not great. I gave this version (10) a try after reading reviews and am so glad I did - they made huge improvements to the show and it was a great fit right out of the box for me! I ran 14 miles my first run in them and had no issues at all. I still wish they would improve on the massive tongue in the shoe, but it feels much lighter weight for the cushion it has and is roomy in the toe box without it feeling awkwardly so like the previous versions. It also has much shorter shoelaces now which I like. All in all I was very pleased, just need to get my foot adjusted to the 10mm drop vs the 12 I’m used to running in. Highly recommend as a neutral everyday running shoe for high mileage.
These are very nice running shoes for people with forefoot issues and a regular medium width foot otherwise. I would suggest that they are designed with a thicker insole so that one could substitute an orthotic such as the popular soft orthotic that I usually wear. The shoe box did not accommodate this orthotic, but I think I will be ok with just the given insole with its minimal arch support.
I really like these for my daily walking workouts. MacKenzie over at Fleet Feet in Boca Raton was phenomenal in helping me find the correct pair / fit.
