All time favorite
It is not the big over the top cushioned shoe that is so popular right now. These have cushioning in all the right places and they feel like wearing a sock they fit like that with out the clumpy shoe feeling. Hard to find a higher heel drop as well and I am back to Mizuno's after purchasing these. Winner.
The 29s are much better than the 28s
I like the extra cushion in the sole and the softer toe. The 28s hit my toes but the 29s are much more comfortable.
Consistently great!
Great fit for narrow feet.
Perfect replacement for 28s
It was time to replace my Mizuno Wave Rider 28s and so I just went online and ordered these in the same size and they fit perfectly.
My return to Mizuno
A couple decades ago, I wore Mizuno Riders. I loved them, but after enough of the yearly โupdatesโ, I switched to Saucony. Just recently I bought the Mizuno Zen 2, which I really like, and I decided to try the Rider 29 out of curiousity. Itโs a great shoe. Itโs very comfortable and has some cushioning, but not max so I can still feel the road. The only thing Iโm not crazy about is the 10mm heel toe offsetโฆitโs a bit much.
My favorite walking shoes.
Comfortable
They changed something
Something is different about the Wave Rider 29. They even looked different when I opened the box. They are bigger, fluffier, bulkier. The heel fits loose which is the biggest bummer since the narrow heel is the main reason Iโve been wearing Wave Riders for years. They slip off my heel when I pick up the pace. Really disappointed the model has evolved in this way. I need to find a new shoe now.
Shoe
I love my new shoes. Iโm an OR nurse in my feet 12 hours a day. At the end of the day my feet donโt hurt. Good arch support.
