Mizuno Wave Rider 25
The Wave Rider 25 strikes the perfect balance between lightweight support and responsive cushioning, now with a dialed in fit throughout the upper.
The Mizuno Wave Rider 25 offers balanced cushioning and support on every run.
Mizuno designers wrapped the reshaped Wave Plate in a bed of Mizuno Enerzy midsole foam. Enerzy foam offers next-level cushioning and energy return, while the Wave Plate delivers a stabilized feel with each step. Plus, the Wave Plate is now constructed with sustainable materials.
The support continues through the outsole with the classic Flex Groove design that promotes flexibility in the forefoot for a more secure toe off. X10 rubber on the outsole offers the durability you need to run in your Wave Rider 25 over long miles of daily training and prevents uneven wearing.
The Wave Rider 25 keeps a sustainable trend with the engineered mesh upper that features a recycled PET mesh lining and shoe laces.

Watch: Wave Rider 25 Review
The magic happens in the heel of the Wave Rider 25. With a rare 12mm drop and a Wave plate that compresses in the heel to propel your foot forward, the Wave Rider is a unique blend of stability and cushion.

Amazing shoe. Comfortable and cushion in the toe box is nice.
I usually run in either Brooks Ghost or New Balance 880s but decided to give these Mizuno's a try. My right foot is bordering on a wide through the midfoot, I have high arches and a low insted. These fit perfectly in a regular with. The toe box has ample room, and it laces comfortably over the top of my foot. At first, I was worried they might not have enough cushion for me, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have just enough while also being light and responsive. The outsole is surprisingly grippy as well. These will definitely become a go-to for wet roads and winter runs and provide a nice option in my rotation.
Best shoe out there for me. I have a bunion that is only painful if I wear inexpensive shoes. I wear this shoe everyday. I have 3 pairs, 3 colors and have been buying and wearing them over the last 18 months. No pain and I am on my feet all day on concrete floors.
