Same Ikoni, now for more feet.
Designers built the Karhu Ikoni with data gathered from more than 100,000 3D foot scans taken at Fleet Feet locations, which gave it a more comfortable fit. Now, the Karhu Ikoni 2020 HiVo adds another option to satisfy even more runners.
The new Ikoni HiVo delivers the same smooth ride and energetic feel as the regular Ikoni, but it has more room for wider or larger feet. Karhu achieved the high-volume fit with a wider toe box and midfoot, while still providing a locked-in heel for added security.
Karhu’s half-length Fulcrum technology smooths out the transition and adds subtle stability, and an engineered knit upper gives the shoe a sleek look.
For runners who need extra width or more room in their running shoes, the Karhu Ikoni HiVo is the ideal solution.

I bought these after having a remote fitting with Emily. Luckily, she had my foot analytics available. She recommended the Karhu Ikoni 2020 HiVo because I have very high insteps. Firstly, I was amazed at how my shoes were shipped within an hour or so after I ordered them online, and they arrived the very next day. When I tried them on, it was a great fit right from the start. Finally, a shoe that didn't feel tight across the top of my foot. After wearing them around the house for an hour or so to be sure, I took them out around my neighborhood for my run/walk and have worn them now for several weeks. They are completely comfortable, fit great, and are lightweight. I continue to walk and run on asphalt about 5 days a week in these and am planning to get a second pair when these have more miles on them. The only thing I'd change is the breathability of the top fabric but this is minor relative to everything else. I'd never heard of this shoe brand but thanks to Emily, I'm all in! Great shoe and terrific service by Fleet Feet!
Overall the HiVo was what I expected. Definitely a noticeably wider toe box and the lacing difference wasn’t terribly noticeable at all. The bootie felt a little stiff compared to the 2019 Ikoni. The HiVo also had better arch support. When comparing them to my 2019 Ikoni, I kept preferring my originals. I did return these since the 2019 Ikoni was $40 cheaper and changing shoes every couple months gets expensive. I think I’ll get these next time as I forgot how much more snug the toe box of a new shoe is!
I loved Altra Torins for the wide toe box and zero drop and have worn them for years. Recently my foot was slanting to the outer edge of those shoes and my arch on my right foot had been bothering me for a while. I got the foot scan to figure what I needed and Karhu 2020 Ikoni Ortix HiVo #F200286 was the answer. I tried them on and they looked and felt great on my feet and with being light feeling too. I’ve worn them for a month now and my right arch ache is gone and my feet are level and seated correctly in my shoes throughout my busy daily tasks at an Elementary school.
