HOKA Skyward X Review
The HOKA Skyward X promises to deliver the supertrainer experience with a carbon plate, PEBA midsole foam and a whopping stack height.
Miles feel effortless in the HOKA Skyward X.
This supremely cushioned trainer takes soft and smooth to the extreme. It features HOKA's groundbreaking suspension system with a convex carbon fiber plate that compresses and springs back with every stride. A highly resilient PEBA foam sits closest to your foot for lively, cloud-like cushioning, while a super critical EVA frame provides a stable base below.
In our full review of the HOKA Skyward X, run tester Mandy said, “I felt as if I was rolling through my runs and could run forever. This included both weekend long runs and shorter after-work runs. I liked running hillier sections in these shoes more than flatter sections because the combination of the carbon plate, cushioning and rocker shape allowed me to really let ‘er rip when going downhill.”

My best shoes ever. I ordered another two
I love this shoe so much. I have arthritis in my toe. This shoe works so well with the rocker motion and the carbon fiber plate built into the sole. My toe hurts so much less after my walks!!! And I got it on sale as it must be last years model. Love it!
Fantastic! One pair for Jazzercise and one for work. I'm a nurse that works 13-15 hour shifts with few breaks. These shoes are the 👌
Because I have been running consistently for over 30 years, my feet are in terrible shape… So I have only been wearing Hokas for about the past seven or eight years. They’re the reason I can still crank out the miles!
This shoe was just ok- the toe box was notably larger and higher stack. The fit was just not as secure as the bondi. I returned it. Will stick with the Bondi!
These are my best Hoka’s so far. As a very active 67yo, I use these for my fast paced cross training classes. Extremely comfy !
