The HOKA ONE ONE Carbon X is a race-day speedster disguised as an everyday trainer.
Featuring a carbon-fiber plate, the Carbon X propels you forward with each step. Designers put a slight curve in the stiff plate to work with the midsole’s rocker shape. Together, the plate and midsole shape give the shoe an exaggerated forward roll for a silky smooth ride.
But it’s not just another fast racer: Carbon X packs the cushion, too. HOKA sandwiched the carbon-fiber plate between two slabs of protective foam, which gives it a signature HOKA feel. The two layers of foam aren’t as squishy as other HOKA running shoes—like the Bondi 6 or Clifton 6—but they make the shoe a capable distance runner.
Fleet Feet runners praised the shoe’s ability to run fast and provide maximal cushion. In the Carbon X review, one runner says, “It has a rare combination of the low-to-the-ground feeling and responsiveness of a racing flat and the protectiveness of a high-cushion shoe.”
So lace up the HOKA Carbon X next time you’re targeting your personal records—it’s up for the challenge.

Always the best products and best customer service. This time around my shopping experience happened at curbside, but I'm completely satisfied. -RNs love HOKA and Fleet Feet
Hoka One One Carbon X Women's
My feet and legs feel so much better like 100% better. I liked them so well the very next week I purchased another pair exactly like my first pair. I love the black /grey color apparently so does everyone else. I had to order 10 1/2 on second pair but they are fine . I wish you guys had more black ones with black sole shoes less dirt. I love my Carbon X . Thank you .
Best shoes for sesamoiditis
This is my fifth pair of these shoes. I have chronic sesamoiditis and these shoes keep me running despite that. The carbon fiber plate makes them very stiff which is what I need. Most shoes seem to focus on cushioning the heel. These shoes also focus on the toe area. Cons: They are expensive! And the laces are too slippery to stayed tied (even double knotted) beyond a mile or two.
I LOVE these shoes! They have been my saving grace during this quarantine. I have never really enjoyed running because my back would hurt afterwards, but these shoes make all the difference! I used to be able to run 5-6 miles in the cliftons (which are great too) but would always stop because I knew my back would hurt the next day. Now I am doing 10 mile runs without any issues. I love them so much, I bought my second pair last week! FYI... I did size down a half size.
