HOKA Gaviota 5 Review
The Gaviota 5 features softer midsole foams and new H-frame technology, replacing the J-frame support system in prior models.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings comfort and stability to the next level.
Soft and comfortable, you will feel like you are walking on clouds in the new Gaviota 5. HOKA re-engineered this stability shoe with an intuitive H-Frame base and wider platform to give you a smooth and stable ride that is perfect for those with flexible arches or who overpronate.
The luxury feel continues in the upper with a breathable, creel jacquard upper. A gusseted tongue hugs your foot in place, while the heel pull tab makes it easy to slip on and off. Some of our reviewers did think that this shoe ran a little large in our HOKA Gaviota 5 review, so if you are in between sizes, you may want to consider sizing down.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings softness and stability to the next level whether you are working on your feet all day or running a marathon.

They are so good I. My Feet . If I did not have two pair of Hoka Bondi, I would buy one more pair of Gaviota. They are so comfortable on walking .
Great shoe it has plenty of support and enough of cushion for my walks
They fit great and are very comfortable. My feet feel stable. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
I always have worn Hoka styles in the same size/d width but these run large. Ordered online same size as always. Still a nice shoe, but needed to wear thicker padded socks and tighten as much as possible. I prefer my bondis shoe more, but these are good shoes for being on my feet all day
The toes are roomy and provide the arch and heel support I need!
Great shoe. very comfortable.
Gives me stability and comfort for my neuropathy issues.
I have worn Hokas for years, way before they were popular and only considered weird. I unfortunately had a raging, long lasting case of plantar fasciitis and could barely walk , let alone run. The stability of the Gaviota has me back logging miles. They’re comfortable and fit great, are true to size and good for road running . These were recommended by my podiatrist and I switched from the Bondi and it’s worked well for me.
This is my 2nd pair and they are my “everyday“ shoes. I have plantar fasciitis but with these I get support and cushion in just the right amount! My only issue is that my first ones were light gray but they show dirt pretty easily. This pair is black so I hope that helps. Would like it if next time there was maybe a neutral kind of dark gray?
