The Gaviota is HOKA’s premium stability shoe and this version continues the plush tradition. HOKA uses its J-Frame™ support, which is a firmer foam that wraps around the medial (or inside) side of the foot and around the heel in a J-shape to give support when you need it. This is a shoe designed for individuals who excessively overpronate or have flexible arches.
Roll through your stride thanks to HOKA’s late stage Meta-Rocker that gives you a smooth ride and forefoot support. The Gaviota is HOKA’s maximum cushioned stability shoe, giving you the ultimate in comfort, step after step. In our HOKA Gaviota 4 review, one tester said “I like the tall stack of cushion underfoot. The feeling of the foam is soft, but it’s stable as opposed to smushy. The result is a ride that’s soft and protective but highly stable.”
HOKA retooled the upper of the Gaviota to make it more luxurious and comfortable than ever. The ventilated mesh upper is lighter and more supportive compared to previous versions of this shoe. It features a midfoot H-Frame that increases upper support and midfoot lockdown. Designers added cushioning around the heel collar and tongue to provide for a better step-in feel. Plus, HOKA updated the tongue with a single-side gusset and added a hidden eyestay reinforcement to reduce any slippage.

Wanted to love them but
I have tried over the last month to break these shoes in but they just don’t fit right to wide and I get shin splits love my Ariats I thought that this style would give me forefrooy cushioning but they are just not working out for ne
Hoka walking shie
I have been wearing Hoka tennis shoes ever since they were recommended by my podiatrist Dr Grosse . These shoes completely saved my feet and a knee problem I was starting to get. With physical therapy and these shoes my knee problem is gone. I’m 73 and several of my friends have had knee surgery . I’m still doing great and recommended these to a friend who was complaining about her knees. She bought the shoes and won’t wear anything else. I wish they would make a simple all black loafer to wear on evening tennis shoes don’t work.
